Q. How often is Expressions published?
A. Collie Expressions is published six times a year, bi-monthly.

Q. When will my subscription start after I subscribe?
Your subscription will begin with the first mailing following receipt of your payment. Allow 6-8 weeks to receive your first issue.

Q. Can I subscribe or advertise over the phone using a credit card?
A. We can accept payments by credit card only through our internet bank, www.paypal.com. Click on the "subscribe" button on the main home page, or go to: http://www.collieexpressions.com/subscriptionpage.html and click on domestic for US or international for non-US subcriptions. You will be directed to paypal which will send us a notice with your address and contact information.

Q. I want to Fedex/UPS my ad materials - what is that address?
A. Collie Expressions, 2834 Cotten Road, Sanford, NC 27330

Q. How can I give Expressions as a gift?
A. Either mail us a check or money order, or subscribe via paypal and notify us of the recipient - we'll send them a gift card in your name.

Q. Can Expressions download photos from my website for advertising?
A. Generally not. Photos used on the web and websites are created for screen monitor viewing with a resolution of 72 dpi. Print publishing requires at least 300 dpi. The file size of your photo is your best indicator. A color 8 x 10 photo at 300 dpi will be from 400kb to 1,100kb (1.1 mb), while one at 72 dpi will be 20kb-100kb. If you are unsure, we'll be happy to evaluate your photo for you. Most digital cameras only capture photos at 72 dpi, but some can record a 17" x 22" size photo, which converts very well to 8 x 10 at 300 dpi. We prefer the old-fashioned photographic print, but can usually find a way to use your photos.

Q. Can I e-mail you a photo or text for advertising?
A.
Yes, we are happy to accept photos and text via e-mail, provided the photos are high resolution and good quality scans in jpg format, and the text is either part of an e-mail or in msword .doc format. We will make sure it will reproduce to our high standards so you will be proud of your ad.

Q. I don't know anything about designing an ad or what to say - can you help?
A. We accept ads submitted in many ways. You can simply jot down your ideas and thoughts and key points on a piece of paper and we'll use your photos to design an attractive presentation for you - it's all included in the ad price! It helps if you have seen an attractive previously published ad that you'd like us to use as a template. We'll send you a pdf of your ad prior to publishing for your approval if you provide us an e-mail address.

Q. What do I need to include when I send in my ad?
A.
Photos you wish to use, a sheet of paper or e-mail text file with your instructions, and postage for return of your photos.

.Q. I want my specialty winner included in your specialty critiques feature. How can I find out if you're featuring that event?
A.
For all specialties, we send to all judges a request for a critique. While most do respond with an informative reply, some choose not to. If you wish your dog's specialty win featured, we'll use the photo and publish results whether we receive a critique or not. We prefer to publish critiques/results that are no more than 60 days old.

Q. I want to send you an ad, but it's past the deadline. What can I do?
A.
We do accept ads past deadlines - please call ahead to let us know it is coming and confirm what issue it will appear. We do not honor any discount pricing for ads accepted beyond deadlines.
